The History of Fall Creek Regional Waste District | ||||
On Nov. 22, 1974 the Fall Creek Regional Waste District was created by the action of the Indiana Stream Pollution Control Board under the direction of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. | ||||
In September 1985, the Fall Creek Regional Waste District wastewater treatment plant began operation. | ||||
In 1989, the District contracted with the Town of Markleville to serve the town as a wholesale customer. | ||||
In 1992, the District expanded the service territory by including all of Green Township, about 23 square miles of which was not previously served. | ||||
In 2002, the conventional activated sludge plant was expanded. | ||||
